The Lost Art of Kissing

I've been promising this post for a while now... but I honestly couldn't find the inspiration to write it.  Well, I've become inspired... so here we go.  I've had this conversation a million times with friends and everyone always agrees - kissing has become a lost art.  

I've noticed over the years (and especially in relationships) how true this really is.  I'm not even sure if most couples realize it, but people just stop kissing.  It goes from passion to little pecks on the lips in passing.  Instead of kissing someone being exciting, it becomes a mundane task done without even thinking or feeling it.  To me this is such a loss... 

Do you ever long for that perfect kiss???  You know the one I'm talking about... the one that leaves you breathless, knees weak, head spinning.  Some wonder if it even exists or if its just another legend.  

Let me tell you - it does exist.

Why is it that the art of kissing has become lost?  Is it that we are too busy... too caught up in the hustle and bustle of life?  Or maybe it is thought that it just needs to be done as part of foreplay before sex... kind of like a prerequisite or something.  If people are of this mindset, the kiss is usually hurried and not even enjoyed.  Kissing someone is such a personal and intimate experience... maybe we are just not willing to get that vulnerable.

Why not take the time to TRULY kiss someone?  

Make it sensual... making love with only your mouths.  Give of yourself... its so worth it.

My hope is that each of you will take the time to rediscover the lost art of kissing...
